Erdogan: Türkiye committed to achieve lasting peace between Azerbaijan, Armenia
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Türkiye was committed to fostering lasting peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
“Our Azerbaijani brothers have repeatedly demonstrated that they are supporters of peace, and we expect the same attitude from the Armenian leadership, Caliber.Az quotes Erdogan as saying at a briefing following a Cabinet meeting on May 20.
"We welcome the agreement on the return of four villages under occupation to Azerbaijan. Turkey will make every effort to achieve lasting peace," Erdogan noted.
The Turkish leader praised the level of relations with Azerbaijan and cited the Azerbaijan neighbourhood construction project in the earthquake-hit Turkish city of Kahramanmaras as an example.
"The houses being built in Kahramanmaras are another symbol of the unbreakable brotherly bonds between our countries," Erdogan emphasised.
