Erdogan: We will stand by our brothers if necessary
We will be next to our brothers if necessary, just like in Libya, Syria, and the liberated from occupation after 30 years Karabakh, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
As Caliber.Az reports per the president's Twitter, he noted that Türkiye, with its political, diplomatic and military power, delivers decisive blows to terrorist organizations.
“Despite the fact that our country is the geopolitical centre of three continents, for many years it has been governed by a one-vector foreign policy. But thanks to the efforts of our diplomats, we have a confident, enterprising and humane foreign policy course,” Erdogan wrote.
The Turkish president then stressed that the number of Turkish diplomatic missions abroad has increased from 163 to 260.
“We are one of the five countries in the world with the most extensive diplomatic ties. We contribute to the resolution of regional crises through agreements such as the exchange of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine and the creation of a 'Grain Corridor' to ship Ukrainian grain to countries around the world. As a country with a history full of glorious victories, we are moving towards the place we deserve in the international system. We will not allow our domestic politics to be controlled and our national will to be interfered with. I hope that on the 100th anniversary of the founding of Türkiye, we will reach the peak of diplomatic success.,” he said.
