EU foreign ministers to discuss Azerbaijan-Armenia normalisation process
The process of normalisation of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia will be discussed at the meeting of the Council on Foreign Relations of the European Union.
The Foreign Affairs Council will meet on March 18 in Brussels under the chairmanship of EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, APA reports citing the EU Council press service.
At the beginning of the meeting, EU foreign ministers will have an exchange of views with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in an online format.
Then the Council will hold an exchange of views with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in an online format and discuss the conflict in Ukraine.
It is noted that the meeting will also discuss the situation in Belarus and the Middle East.
"In the framework of current issues, the High Representative is expected to touch upon Azerbaijan and Armenia, the process of normalisation of relations between the two countries and the EU's support to Armenia," the EU Council press service said in a statement.
