EU high rep calls Azerbaijan EU’s important partner

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell has said that Azerbaijan is an important partner of the European Union.

“Our cooperation with Azerbaijan is intensifying,” he said following the results of the 18th meeting of the Azerbaijan-European Union Cooperation Council on July 19 in Brussels, Report informs.

Borrell noted that the EU stands for a "peaceful and prosperous region of the South Caucasus."

“In this regard, it is important to build a dialogue with partners, which are Azerbaijan and the EU,” Borrell added.
