EU’s Marta Kos to tour Aghdam, meet demining experts during Azerbaijan visit

European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy Marta Kos is set to visit Azerbaijan, the EU office in Baku announced to domestic media.

The visit will commence in Baku on September 18 and will include a series of meetings with Azerbaijani officials. 

During her trip, Commissioner Kos will also travel to Aghdam to meet with demining experts.

“The visit comes at a crucial moment in the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace process and offers an opportunity to showcase the EU’s agenda for interregional cooperation as a tangible contribution to regional development. Commissioner Kos will also discuss shared strategic interests with Azerbaijani authorities, including energy, transport, and demining,” the EU office in Baku stated.
