European Commission: Azerbaijan - reliable energy partner of Europe

President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen has said that this agreement will bring the EU even closer to our partners in the South Caucasus and help both regions gain access to clean energy.

Von der Leyen made the remarks at the plenary session in Bucharest on December 17 in connection with the signing ceremony of the “Agreement on strategic partnership in development and transmission of green energy among the governments of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, and Hungary”, APA reports.

She stressed that Azerbaijan is a reliable energy partner of Europe.

“Today we can say that the two shores of the Black Sea have never been as close as they are today,” the president of the European Commission added.
