European embassies extend Independence Day congratulations to Azerbaijan
Several European embassies have extended congratulations to Azerbaijan on the occasion of May 28 – Independence Day, highlighting messages of friendship, cultural ties, and bilateral cooperation.
The embassies of Sweden, Hungary, Croatia, and Moldova shared their greetings through official social media accounts, Caliber.Az reports.
The Swedish Embassy noted on Facebook: “Today marks the 108th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s independence and proclamation of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. We extend our sincere congratulations and best wishes to the people and government of Azerbaijan.”
The Hungarian Embassy also conveyed its wishes for peace and prosperity.
“On the occassion of the Independence Day, we wish the Azerbaijani people joy, peace and continued prosperity. The Hungarian-Azerbaijani joint performance of the famous Azerbaijani folk song, Sarı Gelin showcases our cultural connection and the mutual respect of our cultural heritage.”
The Croatian Embassy in Azerbaijan marked the day with a brief message of goodwill: “Today is the Independence Day of Azerbaijan! The Croatian Embassy extends its warmest congratulations to the friendly Azerbaijani people on this festive occasion.”
The Moldovan Embassy emphasised the importance of the holiday as a symbol of national identity and development, stating: “28th of May - The Independence Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan.”
