Ex-Bulgarian president: Azerbaijan emerges as key energy partner for Southeast Europe
Southeastern Europe regards Azerbaijan as an important partner, with the country proving itself to be a reliable ally in challenging times, according to former Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev.
Plevneliev highlighted that Bulgaria no longer receives Russian gas, and during this difficult period, Azerbaijan has become a dependable energy supplier, taking bilateral relations to a new level, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The former president also spoke about emerging collaborative projects, including the transportation of goods from China to Europe through Azerbaijan’s territory.
The new initiative will involve Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Georgia, and other nations.
