Azerbaijani prosecutor general discusses COP29 preparations with IAP officials in Baku

Secretary General of the International Association of Prosecutors Roel Dona and Executive Director Janne Holst Hubner have arrived in Azerbaijan on a working visit at the invitation of Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev. 

During the meeting in Baku, Aliyev informed the guests about the large-scale reforms carried out in the prosecution bodies of Azerbaijan, preparations for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) to be held in Azerbaijan this year, Caliber.Az informs, citing the Prosecutor General's Office.

In this context, he stressed the importance of mobilising law enforcement bodies to fight climate change and environmental crimes.

Preparations for the 29th annual conference of the International Association of Prosecutors to be held in Azerbaijan in September were discussed at the meeting.
