Finnish official: Azerbaijan plays active role in establishing peace, cooperation between countries

Aira Kalela, Advisor to former Finnish President Tarja Halonen, has said that Azerbaijan plays an active role in establishing peace and cooperation between countries.

“So far, I have participated in all global forums held in Baku. Azerbaijan is developing rapidly and plays an active role in establishing peace and cooperation between countries. The Global Baku Forum is also a manifestation of Azerbaijan's active role,” Kalela told Azertag.

She said that the Global Baku Forum is a very convenient platform for exchanging views and emphasized its current relevance to the world.

"Regarding [the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change] COP29, I am confident that Azerbaijan will successfully host the event. Azerbaijan is a country rich in natural resources and this sphere is successfully developing," the agency's interlocutor noted.
