Five quakes take place in central Azerbaijan

Five consecutive earthquakes occurred in the Hajigabul region of Azerbaijan on March 4.

Report was told at the Seismological Service Center of the Republic under the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan at 20:12 local time, an earthquake was registered in the Hajigabul region, 30 kilometres northwest of the Shirvan station.

The earthquake's epicentre with a magnitude of 3.1 was at a depth of 2 kilometres.

Also at 20:28 tremors were recorded 25 kilometres northwest of the Shirvan station. The earthquake source with a magnitude of 3.7 was located at a depth of 2 kilometres.

Like the previous three quakes, the last two were not felt either.
