FM: Azerbaijan experiences sharp rise in Israeli tourists
The number of Israeli tourists visiting Azerbaijan doubled in the first 11 months of 2025, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said.
Currently, 20 flights operate weekly between the two countries, with plans to increase this frequency, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Bayramov made the remarks during a joint briefing with his Israeli counterpart, Gideon Saar. He also noted that discussions touched on international and regional security, including the ceasefire in the Middle East and Gaza.
“We support the establishment of peace and the resolution of issues through negotiations,” Bayramov said.
Sa’ar expressed his appreciation for Azerbaijan’s hospitality during his visit to Baku, emphasising the growing strategic and economic ties between the two countries.
“I thank my dear friend, Azerbaijan's FM Bayramov Jeyhun, for the warm hospitality in Baku. Israel and Azerbaijan are both pillars of stability in our regions, with advanced economies,” Sa’ar said on X.
He added that the high-level business and economic delegation accompanying him reflected Israel’s desire to further strengthen strategic and economic relations.
“The high-level business-economic delegation accompanying me today is an expression of our desire to strengthen our strategic and economic relations. I look forward to hosting my counterpart in Jerusalem,” he said.
