FM: Azerbaijan unilaterally offers Armenia humanitarian ceasefire

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with Special Representative of the Russian president on International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoy.

During the meeting, Bayramov also informed the opposite party about the tension in the region due to Armenia’s provocations, Report informs on September 14 referring to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

The Azerbaijani minister noted that Azerbaijan unilaterally offers Armenia a humanitarian ceasefire.

The special representative pointed out that aggravation and destabilisation of the situation are contrary to Azerbaijan’s interests.

He added that Azerbaijan isn’t interested in escalating the situation and destabilization.

Shvydkoy expressed hope that the clashes will stop.

The special representative noted that he is always ready to support the development of cooperation in the humanitarian and cultural spheres.

The views on other issues of mutual interest were exchanged during the meeting.
