FM Bayramov briefs incoming Swiss ambassador on Azerbaijan's anti-terror measures in Karabakh Stressing that only military objects were attacked
Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received Thomas Stähli, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az that during the meeting, the ambassador submitted copies of his credentials to Jeyhun Bayramov. The minister wished the ambassador success in his diplomatic activities.
The agenda of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Switzerland, including political, economic, trade and a number of other spheres, cooperation within international organisations, current regional situation were discussed at the meeting.
Jeyhun Bayramov informed the interlocutor about the factors behind the local anti-terrorist measures carried out by Azerbaijan against the Armenian armed forces and the self-proclaimed regime on our territory, including Armenia's provocations against Azerbaijan, the threats posed by illegal Armenian armed formations, stressed that civilians were not targeted during the high-precision anti-terrorist measures.
Jeyhun Bayramov spoke about the works on the reintegration of Armenian residents of the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, for which purpose an electronic portal has been created. The minister noted that the departure of Armenian residents from the territory of Azerbaijan is not related to forced resettlement, which is confirmed by the statements made after the visit of UN officials to the region.
Thomas Stähli said Switzerland is interested in developing cooperation with Azerbaijan in all spheres, noting that he will make every effort to develop bilateral relations.
