FM Jeyhun Bayramov inaugurates Azerbaijan Room at UN office in Geneva
On September 12, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov opened the Azerbaijan Room at the UN Office in Geneva, which has been reconstructed with a new design and concept.
The opening was also attended by Director General of the UN Geneva Office Tatiana Valovaya and permanent representatives of a number of countries in Geneva, the Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az.
The renovation of the room, created by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in 2007, started in 2022. The room has a lot of high-tech monitors, cameras, audio and video equipment, and accessories. The latest technological solutions make it possible to hold synchronous meetings, presentations, and sessions in a global format.
A special place in the Azerbaijan Room is dedicated to national elements, with photographs reflecting the history, architecture, and rich nature of Azerbaijan, as well as a Garabagh carpet and mugham musical instruments.
The project was implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation with the support of Azerbaijan's Permanent Mission to the UN.
