FM Lavrov: Russia highly values Azerbaijan's exemplary attitude towards Russian language

Russia highly values exemplary attitude towards the Russian language and culture in Azerbaijan.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov made the remark at a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Baku, Report says.

"We continue to multiply the inherited friendship that has bound our peoples for centuries. We appreciate the exemplary attitude of Azerbaijani friends to the Russian language and culture," Lavrov said, noting that the countries will continue to deepen cooperation in the sphere of culture.

According to him, the festival of Days of Azerbaijani Culture in Russia will continue in autumn, and there will also be tours of Russian theaters in Azerbaijan.

"A number of events are planned in the sphere," the Foreign Minister added.
