FM: Pakistan supports Azerbaijan's legitimate measures
Pakistan supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and legitimate activities carried out by it on its sovereign territories.
Pakistan's Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani made the statement at a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov within the framework of participation in the high-level week of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, Caliber.Az reports citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
Jeyhun Bayramov expressed satisfaction with the level of strategic cooperation between the two countries and emphasised the prospects for the development of bilateral relations.
The minister informed the opposite side in detail about the military-political provocations carried out by Armenia and the so-called regime created by it.
He said that the main goal of the anti-terrorist measures carried out in the region was the disarmament of the illegal Armenian armed formations and the dissolution of the illegal regime. It was noted that the local anti-terrorist activities conducted by Azerbaijani Army were directed against legitimate military targets and neutralisation of the illegal military infrastructure of Armenia.
Jalil Abbas Jilani stressed that Pakistan, as always, supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and the legitimate activities carried out by it in its sovereign territories.
During the meeting, the sides also discussed other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
