FM urges to punish those who attack Azerbaijani diplomatic missions

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has said that attacks on the Azerbaijani diplomatic missions are completely unacceptable.

This is a violation of the basic principles of international relations, Bayramov said in an interview with AzTV on September 23, according to Caliber.Az.

“The immunity of diplomats and diplomatic missions is the basis of international relations. An attack on diplomats is an act that does not comply with moral and legal standards. Besides other measures, we expressed strong protest to the countries in which this incident occurred because each country that has joined the Vienna Convention is responsible for the implementation of the provisions of this document,” he said.

The minister added that all the criminals who attacked the Azerbaijani diplomatic missions must be found and prosecuted because impunity leads to further provocations.

The groups of Armenian radicals have recently attacked the Azerbaijani embassies in France, Lebanon and Georgia.
