Former US envoy sees early conclusion of Azerbaijan-Armenia peace deal possible

Former US ambassador to Azerbaijan, board member of the Jamestown Foundation, and international expert Matthew Bryza has said that the early conclusion of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia seems quite possible.

The countries still have to hold many negotiations to resolve issues related to border delimitation, Bryza told Report.

"It looks like there are still a lot of negotiations to be done to resolve such issues. But there is an optimistic outlook: a peace treaty seems quite possible in the near future," he said.

According to the former diplomat, once the peace treaty comes into force, it will be easier to resolve technical issues related to border delimitation.
