Georgia, Azerbaijan deepen defence ties in regional security talks

Georgia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Irakli Chikovani has met with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev to discuss regional security and defence cooperation.

During the meeting, Ambassador Guliyev introduced Azerbaijan’s newly appointed military attaché Colonel Arzu Hasanov to Georgia’s Defence Minister, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

The officials underscored the strategic importance of the partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan, particularly in the area of regional security.

The sides also exchanged views on ongoing and planned initiatives under their bilateral and trilateral defence cooperation frameworks.
