Georgian Justice Minister Paata Salia has held an important meeting with Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia, Faig Guliyev, to discuss the ongoing and future legal cooperation between the two nations.

The meeting, which took place at the Justice Ministry, was a significant step in strengthening the bilateral relationship in the legal sphere, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

The discussions focused on enhancing the cooperation between the relevant legal bodies of both countries, with a special emphasis on exploring opportunities for joint projects and expanding experience-sharing initiatives. Both sides recognised the potential for deeper collaboration to address mutual legal and judicial challenges.

During the session, Salia underscored the importance of further developing legal ties between Georgia and Azerbaijan, highlighting the role such collaboration plays in fostering broader diplomatic relations. The meeting also included Deputy Minister of Justice Beka Dzamashvili and First Secretary of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia Seymur Ilyasli. Together, they reviewed the progress made in the past and examined prospects for future cooperation aimed at strengthening the rule of law and judicial practices in both countries.
