Georgia, Azerbaijan to open new customs checkpoint

Georgia and Azerbaijan are set to open a new customs checkpoint, marking a significant step towards strengthening regional trade and logistics capabilities.
This is stated in the annual report presented by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to the Parliament, Report informs.
According to the document, the parties have already agreed on the draft agreement and the architectural design is being prepared.
"The new joint customs checkpoint between Georgia and Azerbaijan will contribute to the development of transit and logistics capabilities of the countries, further strengthening transport and trade ties of the region," Kobakhidze said.
