Georgia: Evolution company's employees stage hunger strike over working conditions
In Georgia, employees of the company Evolution, which provides services for online casinos, took to the streets and declared a hunger strike in protest.
Georgian students working at Evolution have been striking for over a month in Tbilisi, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.
"They are calling on the authorities to immediately intervene in the process, as they say that 19-20-year-olds in Georgia are starving for the sake of decent working conditions," the report states.
The protesters' demands include the creation of safe and comfortable working conditions, improvement of sanitary and hygienic conditions in the workplace, and an increase in insurance benefits.
Georgian Ombudsman Levan Ioseliani met with the striking employees of "Evolution Georgia," where they presented their working conditions and protest demands.
Evolution Georgia is a remote gambling services company that came to Georgia in 2017. In Georgia alone, the company has about 8,000 employees.
