Georgia hosts memorial event for Khojaly genocide victims
A memorial event marking the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy was held in the Georgian city of Bolnisi.
According to Report’s local bureau, participants honored the memory of the innocent victims of Khojaly with a minute of silence.
Speakers emphasized that the Khojaly massacre remains one of the most painful and tragic pages in Azerbaijan’s history, calling for the restoration of justice.
In this context, the significance of Azerbaijan’s historic Victory in the 44-day Patriotic War was also highlighted.
As part of the event, a photo exhibition was organized, reflecting the history of the Khojaly genocide.
Speaking to Report’s Georgian bureau, Head of the Caucasus Center for Law and Integration Rezo Hasanov stated that the events in Khojaly must never be forgotten.
“This is our blood memory. We must not forget our history; it is essential to pass it on to future generations as it is,” he said.
