Georgia ready to strengthen ties with US PHOTO
On March 26, Peter Andreoli, a representative of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, met with Georgia’s Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili during an official visit to the country.
According to a statement published on the Georgian Foreign Ministry’s website, the sides discussed U.S. engagement in the South Caucasus, current regional developments, and issues of bilateral cooperation. Special attention was given to the “Middle Corridor” and Georgia’s role as a regional transport hub.
The meeting also addressed U.S. support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the policy of non-recognition of occupied territories. Minister Botchorishvili confirmed Georgia’s readiness to deepen relations with the U.S. and strengthen the strategic partnership.
