Georgia’s top diplomat set to strengthen ties with Azerbaijan in landmark visit
Georgia’s Foreign Minister, Maka Bochorishvili, is preparing for an official visit to Azerbaijan, with a focus on enhancing bilateral relations across various sectors.
This announcement came during a meeting between Bochorishvili and Faig Guliyev, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Georgia, where the two diplomats discussed key items on their shared agenda, Caliber.Az reports citing local media.
The Georgian Foreign Ministry revealed that the meeting highlighted the upcoming official visit of Bochorishvili to Azerbaijan, alongside the 10th session of the Interstate Commission on Economic Cooperation, which is set to take place in Baku.
Minister Bochorishvili underscored the importance of the strategic relationship between the two countries, noting that their partnership spans a broad spectrum of areas, including trade, energy, and transportation.
The successful collaboration in these areas was acknowledged during the talks, with both sides expressing satisfaction with their ongoing cooperation.
Additionally, the discussion touched upon ensuring regional stability and peace, with both Georgia and Azerbaijan reaffirming their commitment to further strengthening their strategic partnership and giving it renewed momentum for future growth.
