Georgia will not be dragged into military conflict, says vice PM
Georgian authorities will not allow the country to be dragged into a military confrontation, said Georgian Vice Prime Minister Thea Tsulukiani.
"The answer is one - the Georgian authorities will not allow the state of Georgia to be involved in a military confrontation. That is why we will not provide military type assistance, of course, to either side of the military conflict, especially as far as I know we are talking about transferring such weapons that we have purchased, but this is just a detail", Sputnik-Georgia quotes Tsulukiani as saying on air of First Channel.
The vice-premier called it unfortunate that attempts to involve Georgia in the conflict still continue.
"We had gone through too many wars. Some of the listeners may not remember this because they were born and raised after the wars in Georgia, but we are in power - generations of war. We remember very well what a tragedy it is. That's why we simply cannot let this happen, this is our responsibility for the future of our country", said Tsulukiani.
