German embassy’s provocation in Azerbaijan: anti-Turkish film in Baku PHOTO
The German embassy together with the European Union delegation to Azerbaijan intends to demonstrate the anti-Turkish film "Sisters Apart".
This film was not shown in cinemas during the film festival organised by the European Union delegation to Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports citing the German embassy’s message on Facebook.
This film was jointly produced by Germany and Greece. It is actually anti-Turkish and promotes the ideas of the militants of the YPG/PKK terrorist organisation.
The plot of the film is plain. Young girl Royda was separated from her mother and sister Dylan as a child. She serves in the Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces), while her family returned to Iraq. Royda decided to search for her sister and found out that she had joined the YPG/PKK terrorist organisation.
Despite Azerbaijani cinemas' refusal to show an anti-Turkish film, the German embassy, together with the European Union delegation to Azerbaijan, decided to demonstrate the film in CineClub, Landmark lll building at 19:00 (GMT+4) on December 5, 2022. The film will be demonstrated in German with English subtitles.
The demonstration of such an anti-Turkish film, which promotes terrorist organisations, is unacceptable in Azerbaijan.
Moreover, Turkish citizens manage Landmark lll. Does the embassy's money allow turning a blind eye to Azerbaijan's sincere feelings for fraternal Türkiye?
