Global Baku Forum features panel session on security
Held under the auspices of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, the 11th Global Baku Forum continues with panel sessions.
Another panel session on "New Security Paradigm in the Age of AI, Drones and Cyberwarfare" was held on the sidelines of the forum, Report informs.
In his remarks, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan Samir Mammadov highlighted the work done in the country in this area. He noted that in recent years Azerbaijan has experienced cyber attacks more frequently.
"Their number continues to grow worldwide. Therefore, there is a need for experts and new strategies in this sphere," Mammadov noted.
Other speakers at the panel included Bernardo Mariano, Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO), Assistant Secretary-General, Office of Information and Communications Technology at United Nations Headquarters, Milica Pejanovic – Djurisic, former Defence Minister of Montenegro, Vladimir Norov, former Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, Amir Dossal, President and CEO of the Global Partnerships Forum, Ana Birchall, former Vice Prime Minister of Romania, Egemen Bağış, former Ambassador of Türkiye to the Czech Republic.
