Global defence envoys explore Azerbaijan’s military education advancements PHOTO/VIDEO
A delegation of foreign military attachés accredited in Azerbaijan paid a visit to the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev, as part of the annual activity plan approved by the country’s Minister of Defence, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov.
The visit began with a solemn tribute as the attachés laid flowers at the bust of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, located on the grounds of the military educational institution. This act of respect was followed by a visit to the Memorial Complex dedicated to the Martyrs of the Patriotic War, where the delegation paid homage to the fallen heroes of Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Deefnce Ministry.
Military attachés from 17 countries were in attendance, representing a broad spectrum of international military cooperation. During the visit, the delegation toured the institute’s facilities and observed the training environment and conditions created for military cadets. They were briefed on the educational programs, infrastructure, and overall mission of the institution.
In addition to inspecting the institute’s educational and training capacities, the attachés were hosted at the Heydar Aliyev Museum, located within the premises. There, they viewed a photographic exhibition highlighting the life, leadership, and enduring legacy of Heydar Aliyev, with particular focus on his role in shaping modern Azerbaijan and laying the foundations for the development of its national armed forces.
Throughout the visit, Azerbaijani officials provided detailed explanations and responded to questions posed by the guests regarding the institute’s history, curriculum, and strategic objectives in training future military leaders.
The military attachés expressed their appreciation to the Ministry of Defence for the hospitality and the well-organized program, noting the professionalism and transparency demonstrated throughout the visit.
