Haber Global exposes media attempts to undermine Azerbaijan–Türkiye brotherhood VIDEO
The Turkish television network Haber Global has aired an in-depth investigative segment exposing targeted media campaigns that seek to undermine the deep-rooted brotherhood between Türkiye and Azerbaijan.
The program focused on how certain media outlets have exploited current tensions in the Middle East — particularly the Iran-Israel conflict — to misrepresent Azerbaijan’s foreign policy and strain its strategic ties with Türkiye, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The coverage criticised how these outlets have ignored verified facts and official Azerbaijani positions while launching misleading narratives.
One of the central points of the broadcast was the distortion of recent diplomatic milestones between the two nations. Specifically, it highlighted the inauguration of the Lachin International Airport on 28 May, a major event attended by both Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. At the same time, several international publications circulated disinformation targeting President Aliyev and levelling baseless accusations against Azerbaijan.
The program also addressed Azerbaijan’s firm and clear position on the Palestinian issue. It noted that President Ilham Aliyev had recently accepted the credentials of the new Palestinian ambassador to Azerbaijan, Ahmed Metani. During the meeting, Aliyev reiterated Baku’s long-standing support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, emphasising that both political backing and humanitarian aid would continue.
Despite what Haber Global describes as “dirty media campaigns,” the report affirms that the alliance between Türkiye and Azerbaijan remains unshaken. The channel concluded that no external pressure or fabricated narrative would be able to erode the friendship and strategic cooperation between the two countries, ties that are set to deepen further in the face of shared regional challenges.
