Head of Azerbaijani think-tank calls issue of Karabakh Armenians' rights "internal"
"Armenia declares that the Karabakh issue is not a territorial issue for them, but a human rights issue. Then, in my opinion, there is no need to amend the Constitution of Azerbaijan because of 25 thousand Armenians. There are many national minorities in Azerbaijan and their rights are ensured."
According to the Report, Chairman of the Board of the Center for Analysis of International Relations Farid Shafiev said this at the conference "Shusha Declaration and 30th anniversary of Azerbaijani-Turkish diplomatic relations".
"In Azerbaijan, along with the Azerbaijani language, the state also funds the teaching of Russian and Georgian languages. That is, all these issues can be resolved within the framework of issues of national minorities. The issue of the Armenians of Karabakh is internal and will not be discussed on international platforms," Shafiev said.
