Health ministers from Turkic states gather in Azerbaijan’s Shusha for collaborative discussions
The fourth meeting of the health ministers from member states and observer states of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS) is being held in Azerbaijan’s Shusha city.
The event is co-organised by the Azerbaijani Health Ministry and OTS. Among the participants are OTS Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliev, health ministers from member states and observer states, Special Representative of the Azerbaijani president in Shusha district Aydin Karimov and scholars from various countries, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
A final document - the Joint Declaration - will be adopted at the conclusion of the event.
Earlier, Omuraliev underscored the important role of Shusha in symbolising Azerbaijan's restored territorial integrity and sovereignty.
In an article published by Anadolu Agency to mark the OTS' 15th anniversary, he articulated Shusha's importance for the Turkic world.
Omuraliev noted that the Karabakh Declaration, adopted in Shusha, aims to enhance collaboration among Turkic states in such key areas as transportation, energy, and climate change.
This declaration represents a pivotal step towards fostering unity and cooperation among member nations, showcasing a shared commitment to regional development and mutual support.
