Heydar Aliyev Centre hosts reception marking 101st anniversary of Türkiye
An official reception was held at the Heydar Aliyev Centre to commemorate the 101st anniversary of the founding of Türkiye.
The event was organized by the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Attendees included members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan, military attaches, public and political figures, as well as MPs led by Speaker Sahiba Gafarova.
The reception started with the singing of the national anthems of both Azerbaijan and Türkiye, highlighting the strong ties between the two nations.
Türkiye celebrated the 101st anniversary of the declaration of the Turkish Republic on October 29.
Celebrations are being held across major cities, bringing citizens together for parades and public gatherings.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited Anitkabir, the mausoleum of the country's founder Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, in Ankara.
Leaders and governments worldwide extended congratulations to Türkiye on the 101st anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, in a letter to Erdogan, said, “Türkiye has entered the second century of its history as a powerful, advanced and stable country in political, economic, military and other aspects, which enjoys high reputation and trust on the international arena and has its say in global affairs.”
