Hezbollah leader explains delay in retaliatory strike against Israel, citing truce talks & strategic timing
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has revealed the reasons behind the postponement of a retaliatory strike against Israel following the assassination of the movement's commander, Fouad Shokri.
Nasrallah explained that the strike was delayed to allow for the possibility of successful truce talks in the Gaza Strip, according to a report by Caliber.Az referencing his speech broadcast on the Al-Manar TV channel.
He further elaborated that the decision to postpone was also influenced by the heightened state of readiness in Israel and the US, who were fully mobilized in anticipation of Hezbollah’s response.
Nasrallah noted that “waiting for the retaliation was part of the punishment for the enemy,” emphasizing the psychological pressure exerted by the delay.
