High-ranking Saudi delegation travels to Zangilan PHOTO
A delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, headed by the Minister of Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Co-Chair of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, has visited the construction site of a mosque in Azerbaijan's liberated Zangilan city.
According to Report, the visit occurred within the framework of the delegation visiting Azerbaijan, which started by being received by President Ilham Aliyev on December 18. During the reception, President Aliyev said that a business forum between the private sectors of Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia will be held on December 19 in Baku.
The Saudi delegation traveled from the capital Baku to Zangilan by plane, landing at the newly opened Zangilan International Airport. During an event organized at the airport, Finance Minister Samir Sharifov noted that Azerbaijan highly appreciates the principled position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia not to establish diplomatic relations with Armenia, which committed aggression against Azerbaijan, according to Report.
Emin Huseynov, the special representative of the Azerbaijani President in the liberated territories, including in the Karabakh economic region (except for the Shusha region), also attended the special event honouring the Saudi delegation in Zangilan.
During his speech, he announced that about 150,000 jobs will be created in Azerbaijan's Karabakh economic region which will undoubtedly contribute to higher GDP growth.
"We are building Aghdam Industrial Park on an area of 190 hectares, where all residents will be provided with all necessary utilities. We already have several residents. The residents will receive a number of benefits, such as exemption from VAT and customs taxes for 10 years", Huseynov said.
