Azerbaijani presidential aide Hikmet Hajiyev has shared a powerful image on social media, capturing President Ilham Aliyev holding the hand of Nilay, a young girl who lost her parents in a missile attack on Ganja during the 2020 44-Day War.
Posting on X, Hajiyev described the image as a “talking photo,” Caliber.Az reports.

“President Ilham Aliyev gently holds little Nilay’s hand—the girl who lost her parents and loved ones in the missile attack on Ganja by Armenian armed forces in 2020 during the 44 Days of War—is indeed a ‘talking photo’ where the image itself tells the whole tragic story without words,” Hajiyev wrote.
The moment took place during the inauguration of the Ganja Memorial Complex on September 27.
