Historic moment: first border pillar established between Azerbaijan and Armenia

On April 23, 2024, the first border pillar was erected on the border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia within the framework of the works on clarification of coordinates on the basis of geodetic measurements on the ground. The works of the expert groups of the two countries continue.

This is stated in the report of the service of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev.

As it was reported earlier, today in accordance with the agreements on the results of the 8th meeting of the State Commission on State Border Delimitation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia and the Commission on State Border Delimitation and Border Security between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, the expert groups of the countries started the process of specifying the coordinates on the basis of geodetic measurements on the ground.
