IAEA chief visits Iran for key nuclear talks
Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi has arrived in Iran.
The IAEA chief was met upon arrival in Tehran by Behrouz Kamalvendi, spokesman and deputy for international, legal and parliamentary affairs of the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran, IRNA reports.
Grossi is expected to meet with Foreign Minister Hosein Amir Abdollahian before travelling to the city of Isfahan to attend the first international nuclear conference that opened there on May 6.
Grossi and Mohammad Eslami, head of the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran (AEOI), are the main participants in the forum.
Foreign guests at the conference include foreign ambassadors accredited to Iran, including the head of the Saudi Arabian diplomatic mission.
