Indonesian Embassy in Baku marks 81st anniversary of independence PHOTO

The Indonesian Embassy in Baku held a series of events to mark the 81st anniversary of Indonesia’s independence.

The events were held under the slogan “A Sovereign, Just and Prosperous Indonesia” and aimed to strengthen solidarity among the Indonesian community and further develop diplomatic ties with partners in Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

The main event was a state flag-raising ceremony attended by Indonesian Ambassador to Baku Berlian Helmi, members of the Indonesian diaspora, students, local partners and “friends of Indonesia”.

The embassy also organised a number of other events to mark the national holiday.

The embassy said the anniversary underscored its commitment to preserving national unity and promoting the active participation of the Indonesian diaspora in advancing Indonesia’s development, sovereignty and prosperity internationally.
