International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation gets new president
Aktoty Raimkulova has been appointed President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation.
Raimkulova thanked Gunay Afandiyeva, who previously headed the foundation, for her contribution to the development of the culture and heritage of the Turkic world, according to Report.
Afandiyeva wished Raimkulova success in leading the organization and expressed gratitude to the staff for the joint work done with great love and enthusiasm during her tenure.
President of the Foundation Raimkulova noted that the organization will intensively continue its further projects and activities in order to further deepen common ethnic, cultural and historical ties in the Turkic world.
The Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation started its activities following the decision of Heads of States during the Astana Summit, which was held on 11 September 2015. The Charter of the Foundation was adopted at the Bishkek Summit on 23 August 2012. The Foundation’s Secretariat is located in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The objectives of the Foundation are to protect, study and promote the Turkic culture and heritage through support and funding activities, projects and programs.
