Iran acknowledges Karabakh as integral part of Azerbaijan: President Pezeshkian

During an expanded meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, made a significant statement affirming Iran’s stance on the Karabakh region, underscoring the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

“We recognize the right of you, Azerbaijan, and the dear Azerbaijani people to Karabakh and other territories that Azerbaijan must reclaim. We believe that Karabakh is an integral part of Azerbaijan, and we respect this,” Pezeshkian stated, highlighting Iran’s clear position regarding the disputed region, Caliber.Az reports via AZERTAC.

President Pezeshkian further emphasized that Iran’s presence and involvement in regional matters would help strengthen the bilateral relations between Iran and Azerbaijan.

“Of course, our presence here will allow us to strengthen our relations and unity,” he added, reinforcing the commitment to deepening ties and supporting Azerbaijan’s sovereignty.
