Iran: Authorities seize over 120 kg of explosives in Tehran
Iranian law enforcement officials have uncovered a large cache of explosives weighing 127 kilograms in the Navab Street area of Tehran.
According to a spokesperson for the police, the seized materials included sulphur, potassium nitrate, phosphorus, and explosive liquids, Caliber.Az reports, citing Iranian media.
Following the arrest of a suspect linked to the case, authorities thoroughly cleared the location.
The discovery was made after residents reported suspicious activity in the neighbourhood.
Officials also reported that, amid rising tensions following attacks by Israeli agents on Iranian territory, dozens of suspected Mossad operatives, infiltrators, and collaborators have been identified and detained since June 13.
Note that, on June 16, Iran executed Esmail Fekri, who was convicted of spying for Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad, according to the semi-official Fars news agency.
Fekri was accused of attempting to pass secret information to Iran’s adversaries in exchange for payment and maintaining contact with two Mossad officers.
A day earlier, Iranian media reported the arrest of two suspected Mossad agents in the northern Alborz province.
The individuals were allegedly involved in manufacturing bombs, explosives, booby traps, and electronic devices.
