Iran continues strikes on Israeli petrochemical sites, US bases VIDEO
The Islamic Republic of Iran’s military carried out drone attacks on Israel’s petrochemical facilities near Dimona, as well as on US bases in the UAE and Kuwait, the IRGC’s official channel announced.
The strikes were in response to “aggression by the US-Israeli alliance against the country’s petrochemical industry and infrastructure.” Targets included:
-
A power plant and fuel storage at the petrochemical complex in southern Israel near Dimona;
-
The US Navy repair centre at Jebel Ali port, UAE;
-
Radar systems and residential buildings for US troops at Ahmad al-Jaber Air Base in Kuwait.
The IRGC statement said that the Dimona industrial zone is a key centre for Israel’s economy and security, hosting the largest chemical complex in the Negev Desert. Its power plant and fuel storage supply materials used for certain military purposes. The US Navy repair centre provides fleet support in the region, while Ahmad al-Jaber Air Base hosts American troops and is equipped with radar systems and aviation hangars, including for the US Air Force’s 332nd Squadron.
