Iran's top judge warns of unrest, urges officials to address public hardship
Iran’s judiciary chief, Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei, described recent unrest in the country as a “major sedition” orchestrated by foreign adversaries, pledging decisive action against those accused of violent activities. The remarks come amid ongoing tensions and heightened security concerns across the nation, Iran International reports.
“America should know that if it starts a war, this time it will be a regional war,” Ejei stated, echoing comments made by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei a day earlier.
Acknowledging rising domestic pressures, Ejei emphasized that Iranian officials must address public grievances and economic difficulties to prevent further instability. “We must solve the people’s problems and reduce them day by day as much as possible,” he said, cautioning that neglecting even basic issues could leave the country vulnerable to broader conflicts.
Ejei also underscored Iran’s preparedness to confront potential threats, including military action, terrorism, and renewed unrest, signaling a dual focus on internal stability and national security.
