Iran thanks Azerbaijan for humanitarian aid amid Middle East escalation
Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mojtaba Demirchilu has expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani government for sending humanitarian aid to Iran for the second time since the Middle East conflict renewed on February 28.
“I would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to the government and people of Azerbaijan. This comes from our shared culture — in difficult times, we help each other. This positive step and kind gesture are especially valuable for Iran ahead of the Nowruz holiday. We hope to celebrate future holidays together,” Demirchilu told reporters, Caliber.Az reports, citing local state media.
The ambassador noted that Azerbaijan was the first country to send humanitarian aid to Iran and added that several countries have expressed their intention to use Azerbaijani territory to provide aid to his country.
