Iranian, Armenian military top brass discuss regional security
Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan met with Iranian Armed Forces Chief of Staff Major General Mohammad Bagheri during his official visit to Iran.
Caliber.Az reports citing the Armenian Defence Ministry's press service that the meeting focused on topics concerning military collaboration and regional security.
Earlier, Papikyan had a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Reza Ashtiani.
At the meeting, Ashtiani reiterated Iran's unwavering support for peace in the region, emphasizing the Islamic Republic's stance on upholding the territorial integrity and sovereignty of nations in the region, without endorsing any alterations to internationally recognized borders. He emphasized Iran's dedication to supporting direct negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, particularly in the context of the Caucasus region.
