"Iranian authorities are behind attack on Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran"
The attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran is considered a terrorist attack, with the Iranian leaders being behind it and carrying the responsibility for it.
According to Report, the Head of the State Committee for Cooperation with Religious Organizations, Mubariz Gurbanli, gave this statement.
"I am convinced, that Azerbaijan's demand and the facts regarding these crimes, conducted by the Iranian authorities, have to bring punishment to those that ordered and carried out this terrorist attack. The religious community and state committee condemn this terrorist attack", Gurbanli stated.
While this event is concerning, he noted that the religious situation in the country is currently stable.
According to the official, the attempt to disturb the political stability in the country by means of using the religious factor is deemed to fail, because "armed forces, the society and mass media outlets play a particular role in the battle against such attempts. Azerbaijan is a tolerant, multicultural and united country. Islamic values are being respected here".
