Iranian parliament speaker touches down in Azerbaijan

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has arrived in Azerbaijan on a working visit.

During his visit, Ghalibaf will participate in the 20th Session of the Member States of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), underway in Baku, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

The 20th Session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States is taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from June 22 to 25, 2026. 

It is held under the theme “Promoting Sustainable and Inclusive Economic Development in OIC Member States through Parliamentary Cooperation” and features meetings of various committees, including the Executive Committee, specialised standing committees on political, economic, legal, cultural, and human rights issues, as well as the Permanent Committee on Palestine. 

The event brings together over 400 participants from more than 40 parliamentary delegations and international organisations to strengthen inter-parliamentary ties and address common challenges.
