Iraq’s communications minister lands in Azerbaijan to boost strategic ties

Hiyam Al-Yasiri, Iraq’s Minister of Communications and co-chair of Iraq-Azerbaijan Joint Intergovernmental Commission, has arrived in Azerbaijan for an official visit focused on reviewing the implementation of agreements and memoranda of understanding previously signed between the two nations.

The visit aims to reinforce strategic cooperation in economic and investment sectors, while also exploring new avenues for collaboration in communications and digital development, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

The Iraqi Ministry of Communications emphasized that Al-Yasiri’s visit underscores Baghdad’s commitment to deepening its strategic partnership with Azerbaijan. The ministry added that the trip seeks to promote joint initiatives designed to drive economic growth and technological advancement, reflecting both countries’ shared interest in strengthening bilateral ties.
